Engo Gard

We stayed there for a night for celebrating my birthday in the Solstue building. The room was very clean, well designed and perfect for a family of 4. There are different activities available there to enjoy depending on the weather and the group you would go with. We had 7course dinner with wine menu and starter and a refresher in between which was a great experience. The food and wine all were perfect. We also booked a table for the Jazz lunch, to enjoy the full course with a drink and live Jazz music.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Engø Gård Hotel and Spa, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The property offers a perfect mix of comfort, nature, and relaxation, making it a great choice for anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful setting. The rooms at Engø Gård are cozy, well-designed, and very comfortable. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the details, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the views are absolutely stunning. Whether looking out over the lush greenery or the fjord, the natural beauty surrounding the hotel really makes the stay feel special. One of the highlights of my stay was the new spa. The facilities are modern and thoughtfully designed, creating a calming space to relax. I especially enjoyed the Sauna on the fjord, which is truly unique. It was amazing to unwind in the warmth of the sauna while taking in the beautiful views of the fjord. It was a peaceful and rejuvenating experience that added an extra layer of enjoyment to the stay. The food at Engø Gård was another standout. I had the chance to try their 9-course tasting menu, and it was a real treat. Each dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with fresh, local ingredients. It was clear that the chefs put a lot of thought and care into each course. I particularly enjoyed the succulent local lamb. It was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve had. Far better in fact, than a restaurant with two Michelin stars where I recently ate in Vienna. My stay at Engø Gård was truly memorable. The views, the spa, and especially the food all made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape or a place to enjoy nature and good food, Engø Gård is definitely worth considering. I’m already looking forward to returning.

A special and cosy setting. Poor internett quality and absolutely no TV screens anywhere can be charming, but rather anoing when Euro 24 football is on. Superb breakfast and good dining at night.
