Great food, great staff. The only complaint: the salted water from the spa was really dirty, should clean it more often.
Been there in December, a week before Christmas. The holiday decorations were on, which I guess helped. The room was quite all right, had everything supposed to have. The receptionist was very nice, he upgraded our room to one with a better view, and it was really beautiful, especially at night, when we could see all the lights on the alleyways round the lake. The food wasn't something to write home about, but still, it was quite diverse. The service was variable, there were a few older people who knew that they were about, but also a bunch of youngsters who preferred to loiter in the corners and chat each other up to clearing tables. The spa was quite nice (there are two of them!), I was pleasantly surprised by the real ice and the really cold immersion pool.
A big NO! TOTAL RIP OFF! Not a real 4 star hotel. The hotel is very expensive (we payed 120 euros per night for a 2 months in advanced reservation) for Romania and not only ( I payed in Germany for a 3 star hotel with better conditions then Bradet 80 euros per night). Even if you think it has a good and quiet location is not the case. Because of the high volume music at night from Boema terrace and Alunis restaurant nearby I could not sleep. The hotel is an old communist hotel renovated but not so updated. The breakfast is good but nothing to be impressed of for a 4 star hotel. The spa is ok but needs some maintenance. The staff offers a very low service. We had our hair dryer broken when we checked in, they sent the electician and after the electrician's "intervetion" the hair dryer just caught on fire. Luckly we weren't elctrocuted. We'll fill a complain at Consumer's Protection Authority with this incident! So the experience with this hotel was, as we call it in Romania "O mare tzeapa!"
