We spent one night here and it was lovely, located across from the park. The ladies at reception tried very hard to help us in English, but in this part of Czechia some German is useful. The swimming pool is a good size and the water very good. The price was very reasonable for a National holiday weekend too.
Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Reception staff was friendly and really tried to help, but that didn't change the fact that it took 40 minutes to check us in. It also took longer because someone who was less patient barged into the middle of our check in and was actually helped instead of told to wait their turn. Reception staff was the only kind staff, all others didn't say as much as hello (in any language - we speak all of them) when interacting (for example when you say your room number for dinner) and didn't give us the opportunity to thank them as they'd immediately turn their backs after serving us (lobby bar). We went for a swim before checkout and found that our cards had been deactivated 30 minutes before the actual checkout time, so we were locked out of our room. Thankfully a cleaner helped us or it would have been an awkward trip to the reception wearing only a swimsuit and bathrobe. The room was outdated and could use a paint job. The toilet had a flushing problem and had spread a horrible smell through the room during the night, which we only realized when we got back in after our morning swim. Parking is not free. Beds were great and clean, albeit two singles instead of one big bed. All in all - I'll choose a different hotel next time. :)
I was kicked out of the restaurant at 10:28 even though breakfast is supposed to be served until 10:30. They didn’t even let us finish our coffee. I don’t understand why they acted this way, it felt rushed and unwelcoming. It’s not normal to kick out hotel guests immediately like that. Very disappointing experience.
