Ensana Hvězda

Great service overall. Some of the rooms are outdated

Good to know that the town is not a thermal spring. So the pool in Hvezda was quite cold. Claimed to be 30 C degrees but I don't think it was more than 28. It was standard swimming pool warmth which was very disappointing. The best thing was the Roman Baths. An authentic and nice experience. The pools are considerably warmer which my 2 years old have enjoyed as well. (The pools in Roman baths are also shown as 29-30 C degrees. There is no way that the Hvezda's pool is 30 degrees if these are so.) Hvezda and Roman Baths are connected internally but you need to find your way through a labyrinth which is 4 hotels long. That includes several elevators, lobbies, corridors, treatment rooms etc. That takes 15-20 minutes with a baby stroller. The journey feels like you are in a Spa Museum which is in fact interesting. %90 percent of the staff can not speak English even sometimes the ones in the reception. They look at you with thrilled eyes like they hear some language coming from another planet lol! Dinner was good, breakfast was ok. Room was nice and big, room service was as it was supposed to be but (there is a big BUT here) they make a lot of noise starting by 7:30-8:00 that includes talking and shouting to each other in the corridor. We let the reception know about this but no changes. Some of the staff was nice but some of the staff (especially the ones in the spa entrances) were not aware that they are giving a service. Their attitude was more like a gatekeeper..

The rooms, spa were good. The treatments as well. But I don’t understand why a hotel that offers all these treatments to improve a person’s health offers at breakfast and dinner time such terrible food. There is a complete lack of imagination, no taste, very fatty ( high chance that high trans fats are used in the cooking as this is cheap) and does not fit into offering a healthy diet. This just lets down the whole hotel. They really need a complete overhaul when it comes to food.
