I loved every minute spent at your hotel
This hotel was renovated relatively recently and they did a good job. The rooms are on the small side, but tastefully appointed. The air conditioner in our room was ventilating room temperature air. We didn't really need it, since it was cold enough during our stay. The room was quiet most of the time -- the only time when it was not was in the evening, when there was loud music from the town. If you have a room facing the lake you cannot escape it. It went on until 23:00, when it stopped abruptly. The rooms on the other side are probably quieter, but they face the parking lot and the forest. The spa area is great and probably the best in Sovata. You get there by taking the elevator to minus one. There are two pools at that level, one with fresh water, one with salt water. From there you can take another elevator to minus two, where they have more pools, other water features, plus a bunch of saunas, including a really hot one. Lots of signs advising people to go in naked, but hardly anyone did. The buffet at breakfast had lots of choices, including at least six types of cheeses, cold cuts, some fruit, veggies, salad, eggs, pastries, etc. Think quantity over quality. In terms of negatives, the biggest issue we had was with the elevators. There are only two for six floors, and sometimes we had to wait quite a bit. If you don't have mobility issues, the stairs are on the side of the elevators. Finally, the service provided by the personnel. Sometimes it was good, sometimes it was abrupt. And sometimes we just had to wait in line, since only one person was manning a counter. But hey, we were on vacation.
I loved the hotel, the spa, the food and the massage, Tunde B is the best at massage, I recommend her! I was dissapointed that a waiter from the Perla Restaurant gave me his number and name to call him (very innappropriate!) also I ignored him. The next day when I went back for breakfast he was there and following me eveywhere and tried to talk to me, I did not feel confortable at breakfast, I taught I was clear that I wanted nothing from him! I told the Receptionist and gave her the note with his name and number at check-out and she kinda laughed it off… I was expecting stricter attitude. For me it was not funny at all. I hope they take measures regarding the attitude of the waiter. A 4 star hotel staff should not behave like that. I would not come back to the hotel just because of him.
