Beautiful hotel reminiscent of old European aristocracy and their life. Very elegant and stylish reflection of history. This is the best hotel in the town and for a good reason! Staff is polite and helpful. Don’t miss the spa, it’s definitely a unique experience.

We came because we understood that you had special Parkinson treatment program Intended for my wife. We were happy with the program: Personally I would though recommend more physical therapy in the gym or water. Also there is need for more support and guidance for first one or two days. The Irma building is complex.

On a world or European scale this is nowhere close to a 5 star hotel, it’s 3.5 at best. It simply doesn’t have the feel of luxury nor the amenities and service that a true 5 star hotel offers. Firstly, CHECK YOUR BILL. On departure we were charged 100 euros more than quoted on the website and confirmed with staff before booking. We challenged the charge and were rebuffed rudely by the staff member. After more back and forth she relented and removed that overcharge, almost. She still managed to sneak in an 18 euro overcharge. Appalling service. Service across the board is stern disinterested and unfriendly with few exceptions. Treatments are OK but the massages are weak at best, especially the foot reflexology. Honestly, a walk on a cobblestone road will give you a better massage. Avoid the massage altogether is my advice. The gym was good and the pools were very good. The surroundings are beautiful and it’s very relaxing. Room cleaning was hit or miss. Our garbage bin wasn’t emptied for two days and coffee cups went unchanged and unwashed for our visit. We had two complementary bottles of water on the first day that were not replenished nor removed. No doubt management’s response will be that we could have asked for replacements etc but in a “5 star” one should not have to ask for basic services. We did get a drinks voucher, singular. We’re a couple. Would a voucher for each guest be too much trouble? For an expensive hotel the service is well below par and lets down an otherwise good experience.
