Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve

Incredible nature reserve, very well maintained and the tour was beautiful! You might not see many animals as it is very nature centered and the animals are mostly left to live their lives, but the scenery alone is worth the visit. Tip: make sure you bring binoculars or rent some at the shop.

Lovely surroundings with wildlife views from the room. Ambitious restaurant with mostly local game meat on the menu. The wine service is unfortunately a different matter. Not only is the choice quite limited and the markup is at least 2x retail but the wine menu is not accurate. When placing our order, the waitress returned after 10 minutes apologising that they had run out of that particular bottle. We were given the menu back and made a second choice. Again, after some time she returned with the same excuse. This time she had brought two bottles of wines that she recommend for a sampling. They were both fine but we had to ask the price since she nor stated it or brought us back the menu. We ended up with a bottle twice the price we had originally anticipated and the only excuse she left us with was that she would like to have given us a discount for the ordeal (dinner was thus more than 30 minutes late) but unfortunately she wasn't allowed. Don't get me wrong, the place is lovely and the food is very good but the service is appalling. They can fix this, and I hope they do.

Not possible to drive through the park; guided tours are only in the weekends and driving by your one car is only allowed when you stay at the hotel. Strange: because there are hardly any visitors... The restaurant has no good view as you would expect at such a spot
