Es Cel de Begur Hotel

Excellent hotel! Loved our stay and would absolutely go back. Very highly recommend. Gorgeous view, amazing breakfast, delicious cocktails. Didn't try dinner but the menu looks great. Very quiet, perfect for couples. Parking was quite easy, it's just steep to drive up.

Beautiful setting. Super view from terrace & pool. Excellent food ...grilled monkish better than any restaurant we've visited thus far. Really relaxing place. Great staff, pleasant & helpful. Am dropping a star as a loud family took over the pool for a few hrs. We were enjoying the quiet surroundings on terrace when guest launched a drone !. Very noisy & inconsiderate. Think situation could have been handled better, but guess it's difficult dealing with loud guests who have no class. Worth mentioning car park is a bit tight but OK once get used to it. We plan to return.

The booking for this hotel said "terrace with a Mountain View," but the room that they gave us had a patio at the bottom of a stone well. All you see are the stone walls unless you crane your head upward and you might glimpse some mountain. It is really false advertising, and they should not rent this room when there are other lovely rooms with terraces with real views of the mountains and sea. They also had no beach towels so we had to use the ones in our room but they had none to replace those to bathe with. The bathroom smelled terrible when we arrived, a long black hair was affixed to the door hinge, and there were armies of ants along the walls when we returned from the beach. I was really looking forward to this hotel, and we were supposed to stay 3 nights. However, I found another hotel with a real non-subterranean view, and we left after one night. I asked for a different room but none were available. If you book this hotel, ask for any room except #10!
