Lovely place! First the entrance, a welcome by huge palmtrees! Beautiful eco hotel. I went with my daughter and we both loved it! The team is very nice and helpful. They really care. We went in februari. Spring was fully on. Everywhere flowers opening in sunlight. The garden is full of bio fruits, vegetables, and herbs we could try and are used in the restaurant. Breakfast we enjoyed!. Most of the food in the diners we joined we did like. The pool is beautiful and has many sun spots. I liked the way the hotel is build and the nature pavement around. The sheeps with their bells, the funny donkeys. My daughter did drive horse on the land of the neighbours. A nice experience! We enjoyed to see different parts of the island by car and drive back to the friendly energy of the hotel. 5 great days on Mallorca! I recommend to go to Sa Bassa Rotja!
We had an amazing stay at this hotel which is in a perfect location on the island. The hotel (and the entire premises) looks amazing, is very neat/well kept and beautiful. Our room was very comfortable (spacious) with everything you need. Sure, the furniture is quite old, but this is part of the charm and matches the entire hotel. A bonus here was bug nets covering both windows which allowed us to leave the air conditioning off during the nights since we could keep the windows open. Rarely see this in hotels, so thanks for that. Food: - Breakfast was really great and varies (partly) a bit from day to day. Almost everything is fresh and you also get fresh orange juice when you sit down at your table. - Lunch (or what they call "snack") and dinner were (in our opinion) fine but not great. Examples are multiple dinners that were too salty, dry cooked chicken/shrimps in pasta, spaghetti bolognese which had an overload of oregano etc... This caused us to mainly eat elsewhere for lunch and dinner when possible. Service: - Reception: Amazing, we had the best check-in service ever here and every question we had was always answered and the people are very friendly and helpful. - Restaurant: Mostly great, but at one point we asked for a pitcher of Sangria which we were not allowed to order, instead they made us order 2 glasses, which I still don't get what happened there... A pitcher is cheaper, so that felt quite strange... Because of that we also did not order more than the 2 glasses and apparently they don't want to sell more (and no, we did not have any drinks before that... they were not limiting us for being tipsy ;) ) Anyway, this was a single point of annoyance and it felt like an anomaly which is why I won't rate them worse based on that... Overall: Very good hotel and almost perfect. Would visit again for sure.
We’ve had a great time at Sa Bassa Rotja. The staff are a real highlight, very friendly and polite. The food at breakfast and dinner was great, we didn’t really eat in much at lunch as the options are limited, we’d have loved some local food for lunch. The rooms are rustic which we prefer, the AC is old, but works. The facilitates are great and we enjoyed the pool and the gym too. Our only recommendation is we’d have loved some gelato in the afternoon when things get hot ! Would recommend.
