Had a great stay at Troncones Point! I did the 5 day Surfari program as a solo traveler. The surfing was a blast and it was real a treat to be taken out to a number of different local spots. Though surfing was the main purpose behind my stay, the highlight of the trip was just hanging out with Tom and Liz and their the hostel volunteers - truly great, down to earth people. Would definitely return!
We had a wonderful experience at Troncones Point Hostel. The accommodations are very nice, super clean and tidy, daily upkeep. Beautiful kitchen and garden area, quite and peaceful location. The hosts could not be more kind and helpful. The location is perfect for swimming and surf. This is deluxe hostel living. Already planning our next trip.
Had the loveliest time at this hostel! Liz & Tom are such kind and welcoming hosts, we felt safe, comfortable, and right at home. Our room was cleaned every day and overall I thought it was super clean (though I cannot speak to the shared bathrooms). The vibe is super relaxed, as it's a small and tranquil hostel. You can easily walk to the beach and the Troncones Point surf break, though I would recommend getting a car if you want to explore further. It's also about a 5-min drive or 30-min walk into Troncones town which has shops and restaurants. I also recommend bringing groceries with you as there are no big markets in Troncones but there are small shops.
