Esplanade Hotel Prague

This hotel surprised me!! It's very close to the Prague train station. My room had a comfy bed, soft and plush bed linens, marble tile decorated the bathroom and gave me an instant feeling of luxury. The only issue I had was the air conditioner didn't have fan speed control, so it was either turbo or off. Not many people dined in the restaurant, but I found it very comfortable to have coffee and other beverages.

Perfect location, easy access to the train station which was great, but also easy walking distance to Old Town and many of the sites. The room was lovely and I loved that the windows opened so we could get a bit of fresh air. An extra outlet or 2 possibly with some USB ports would have been great as I had to unplug the bedside lamp to plug in a charger. In room coffee and tea would have also been a nice added bonus, but would not be a deal breaker. Staff was wonderful and very helpful.

The hotel itself was actually quite good. However, the air conditioning in my room wasn’t working. I informed the receptionist, who said a technician would check it the same day. But when I returned to my room in the evening, the AC still didn’t work. I asked again, and the receptionist vaguely mentioned that someone had come, but didn’t seem to know what had been done. There was no real effort to understand or follow up. As I was leaving the desk, she casually said “sorry.” Back in my room, I noticed they had left a fan instead. Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of attention and care.
