Estelar Cartagena de Indias Hotel

This hotel was beautiful, very clean, and I loved the location. The taxi service was also super convenient—the vehicles were spacious, clean, and felt much safer than others I encountered, all while charging the same rates as taxis outside the hotel. The complimentary breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day, and the staff were always incredibly kind and helpful. The pool area was stunning, and my room had a direct ocean view, which made the stay even more special. Overall, it was an amazing experience at a great price. My only small critique is that the hotel didn’t provide washcloths—but that’s an easy fix if you bring your own or pack a loofah.

I loved my stay here hotel was safe, clean and welcoming! Mildreth helped me book all the key restaurants and connected me to all tour guides. She was phenomenal. You also get a free welcome drink from the bar. They also have the highest rooftop in Columbia to visit within the hotel. It's 4 min walk to the mall where they have the basics and secure money exchange places. Super close to all main tourist attractions and walk to beach, you can also run along the beach.

Booked the “superior room” and was surprised to find it lacked even a full-length mirror. When I brought this up to the front desk, the concern was completely dismissed with no effort to resolve the issue. The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful throughout my stay. Breakfast is not allowed in your room — not even something as simple as an apple — which is incredibly inconvenient, especially for guests who prefer privacy or a quiet morning. I tried ordering room service instead, which never arrived. After waiting an hour and a half, I called only to be told they “forgot.” Tried to book a spa appointment and was told I had to call during specific time windows just to check availability — again, unnecessarily complicated and unaccommodating. The only positives were the central location and a nice pool view — but honestly, many nearby hotels offer the same (or better) for less money and far better service. The overall service was consistently poor, and it’s clear that guest experience is not a priority here. I truly regret wasting my time and money. Would never stay here again and strongly recommend others look elsewhere.
