During our stay at Excellence Resort Cancun, The Grill quickly became one of our favorite dining spots. The atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed. What really made our experience stand out was Manuel, our waiter. His warm personality, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality took our meal from great to unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations — including a perfectly grilled steak and an amazing bottle of wine that paired beautifully with our dinner. Manuel checked in just the right amount and always with a smile. He truly went above and beyond. The food itself was top-notch. From juicy cuts of meat to fresh sides and flavorful sauces, every plate was served hot and cooked to perfection. We also appreciated the variety on the menu — whether you’re in the mood for steak, or something light, The Grill has something for everyone. We ended the evening with dessert and feeling completely satisfied and well taken care of. If you’re staying at Excellence Cancun, don’t miss The Grill — and ask for Manuel if you can!

We had the most extraordinary time at Excellence - it was our anniversary wedding trip and the stay, grounds, staff, food, drinks, pools, beach all exceeded our expectations. I think the biggest plus is their ability to anticipate your every need so you want for nothing at all times. All staff that we interacted with were incredibly patient and kind. Gloria, Pedro, Miguel, Yazmin, Alejandro, Isabel, Alberto and Angie to name a few!! I would come back here every year for the rest of my life and be completely happy. We did do the Excellence club and had a swim up room and I’m not sure if visit without spending the bit more to do excellence club. With our anniversary package, we were offered a romantic breakfast in bed! You also have 24-7 room service which is insane but incredible. I got chicken fingers every night! The on site coffee shop with desserts was also incredible. This is a one of a kind property and was absolutely perfect! Bring some ones and fives and top these wonderful people! A little goes a long way!

We just returned from an incredible stay at Excellence Playa Mujeres, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The resort is immaculately maintained, with lush gardens and beautifully landscaped grounds that make every walk feel like part of the experience. There are many pools to choose from, so you never feel crowded, and the beach is lovely with soft sand and calm water—though the shallow area is fairly small before it quickly becomes deep, which might be worth noting for swimmers. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a great layout and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The only minor inconvenience is that there isn’t an outlet on both sides of the bed, which made charging phones overnight a bit tricky. We requested an extension cord, and the staff quickly provided one, which solved the problem. The food was outstanding across the resort. The breakfast buffet at The Kitchen Table was a highlight, offering a wide selection of fresh and delicious options each morning. We also loved the variety of dinner restaurants—from Asian and Indian to Mexican and steakhouse options—each meal felt like a treat. A special mention to Antonio and Manuel , our waiters on many days, who went above and beyond to make our dining experiences memorable. Overall, we really enjoyed everything about our stay—from the welcoming staff to the relaxing pools and delicious meals.
