This hotel is a good 3 stars hotel. The hotel design was in a modern style, which is okay. I would personally recommend a painting or something to make it more special. The card everyday towards the end of the day lost its touch to the sensor so we had to change it everyday. The reception was actually quite helpful in explaining the centre of Madrid. The staff was nice. The rooms are also in this modern style. However, WARNING: if you came to Madrid to rest, this hotel is NOT for you. There is a night club across the road and everyday there is loud drunk men shouting until 4am, the windows in the hotel room are useless at blocking the noise. If you came to party, this is a perfect place. However the price for the hotel doesn’t match its quality. Over 1000 euros for 4 nights where you couldn’t sleep and when we asked a basic question to the reception staff, they looked confused as if they never got this compliment. In general, it’s a good 3 star that costs like a 4 star hotel. Major bonus for this hotel being 10 minutes walking from Gran Via.

The location is okay because it’s centrally located, but the surrounding area is a disaster. There is trash everywhere, it smells strongly of urine, and even human feces can be found on the ground. Homeless people sleep right outside the hotel and unfortunately also use the area as a toilet. It’s truly shocking and unacceptable. What’s even more frustrating is that the hotel management does absolutely nothing to improve the situation. If the back of the hotel — where the emergency exit is — looks like this, it raises serious concerns about the hygiene standards in the kitchen and the rest of the building. It’s honestly disgusting and very unsettling for guests.

I had an extremely upsetting experience at this hotel. Shortly after arriving in my room, another couple was mistakenly given a key to it by the front desk. They walked in while I was in a state of undress — not only incredibly embarrassing, but also a serious violation of my privacy and safety. Although the staff apologized, the damage was already done. I had to endure the embarrassment of those guests retelling the story to reception, and the constant discomfort of seeing everyone involved afterward. I checked out the following morning because I no longer felt safe or comfortable staying there. Despite explaining everything, I was still charged for the second night, which I did not use. This kind of mistake is absolutely unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here until they take real steps to improve their security and professionalism. Very disappointing.
