Visited for a week in December 2024, had a great time. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is excellent, in the Santa Croce area of Florence, making it close to all of the main attractions. The rooms certainly have a unique design! They are a good standard, however it is possible to hear a lot of noise through the door. The roof terrace is incredible for enjoying the views of Florence. I would recommend the hotel and I would stay there again.

Simply put, this hotel is a DUMP. Filthy, unlit and staff who are untrained. Reached the hotel around 1 AM hoping to go straight to bed. Was initially assigned a room on the 4th floor. This isn't really a room but more an attic space converted into a room like. There's no lights in the room other than skylights on the roof. There was a single table lamp which was non-functional. Found hair on the bed, floor and bathroom. Went down to the front desk and the receptionist begrudgingly gave us the key to a room on the second floor. This room was in worse condition than room the originally assigned room. Dirty shower, hair all over the bathroom and floors with all kinds of stains. Had to scramble at 2 AM and call Marriott to find a last minute room. The receptionist said he was canceling the booking. His colleague would process a refund in the morning. Two days go by before we hear from the hotel. We were told the hotel can only provide a credit towards a future stay, considering we had prepaid the stay. Upon sending them pictures of the condition of the rooms, hotel management finally agreed to refund the prepaid stay in full. Please do not consider booking a stay at this hotel.
