Beautifully appointed hotel, close to cafes, restaurants, funicular and other places of interest. Overlooking the river, with stunning views in both directions. Staff members are excellent. I cannot fault reception, dining …. All have been extremely helpful to me, particularly when I needed emergency dental work.

Beautiful views of the river from our two adjoining rooms. Rooftop deck was nice just wish the bar stayed open late enough to enjoy a drink while watching the sun go down. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the welcome glass of port wine and complimentary snacks in the lobby. Cute rooms and a nice bottle of wine waiting for us. 😀

During my stay my room unfortunately had a leak from the toilet that could not be fixed. The manager tried to offer a few things to make up for the issue, but I felt that it fell short of what a "4 star" hotel should do. It was my honeymoon and I chose a nice hotel to enjoy the occasion; comping my parking and a breakfast was not as valuable as the reduced experience and stress added during an important trip for my wife and I. Additionally, although the location is close to a lot of good things, the area is NOT safe to park a car. We saw broken glass all around the area where there is free parking and were advised that people will often break the windows if you leave your car out overnight. If you consider this hotel, factor the price of parking into your budget.
