Great hotel 1 hour from the airport Beautiful hotel, big rooms with big beds Lovely powerful shower, great views from our balcony. Beautiful massive beach next to the hotel. Beautiful big swimming pools with slides for smaller and bigger kids also adults and a foam party was lot of fun. Food is lovely and drinks are name branded from a glass bottles which was included in the all inclusive. Staff are all working hard so everything is running smoothly. Entertainment was fun. Few shops and a supermarket outside the hotel, town is only 10 minutes away in a taxi which was very cheap. Great family holiday in Almeria !!!
Great location beach front BUT hotel does not have a private beach, need to pay €10 to use beach chairs and parasols. Beach is small pebble not sand. The hotel is nice, spacious rooms and good size bathrooms, rooms are cleaned every day and fresh towels offered. Working AC which is a must. Cleaning staff very friendly. Pool has a lot of loungers very close together and people smoke so be ready to be very close to strangers. There is no large pool but a labyrinth with some mini jacuzzis which are quite fun. Kids area is very nice and seemed fun. Kiddies will like this place. Food is like any other all inclusive, in low season the food was not varied. Breakfast options quite limited, lunch and dinner has fresh fish and variety of meats. Selection of salad very similar. The fruits were the highlight of every meal. Chocolate fountain at dinner buffet. Drinks as you can expect cheap liquor so best to stay with the beer, quite good. Also available at the bar ice creams, slushy, and snacks. Italian restaurant by the pool offers snacks and light lunch options. Just make sure to cover up as indicate by the door. For vegetarian people the options are very limited, for any allergies best to check before dishing since the food labels are often incorrect. Bar staff very nice and friendly. Restaurant staff over worked and tired. They chose who to be nice to. We had a very bad experience with one of the waiters when he got really mad because we sat at the end of a row of tables that was for large groups, the group never came. He was very rude and didn’t realise I spoke Spanish, it was quite bad so from then on we avoided the person. Roquetas de Mar is not close to Almería, do not rely on the bus to take you there, there are no bus timetables, you could spend at least 40mins waiting for the bus. Also, there are no activities in the area, and very few shops. The area itself is still being developed for tourism. The hotel is mainly catered for Spaniards.
English Tourist Review I booked this holiday in January 2025 for the 30th May till 6th June. On arrival, reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was semi clean - the floor was clean around the beds but not under, the beds were made and clean and the view from the balcony(sea view room) was amazing. The bathroom is small, the casing around the sink is very large so it causes problems with getting in and out the shower when the glass pane is there and the door is open. Loads of toilet roll was provided. There is no tea/coffee/water provided in the room but there is a fridge. The TV had 2 Spanish channels on. With previous experience in hotels with there being a shop on sight, I was shocked to find out that there was one on this complex and you had to exit the hotel and walk 5 mins down the road to the shop (not very well stocked), 3/4 gift shops across the road from the hotel. That was all that was nearby without having to walk 20/25mins further out. There was the road train station outwit the hotel that provided a number of stops throughout the day. The swimming pools were amazing especially now the lazy river was open and was a lot of fun. The slides are very quick and fun. Please note that all the pools are fresh water or salt water so advised to take goggles as on the first day our eyes were stinging! There is a good amount of lifeguards that constantly watch over the pools and the slides. Evening entertainment This was a let down. The kids mini disco from 9.15pm - 9.45pm consisted of the same 5 songs every night and the same 3 characters on different nights. It was very boring! It was then a 30 mins wait until the adult entertainment started which consisted of either a rock band, singer or flamenco dancers. All the singers sang in Spanish and 1 in English. This entertainment was such a let down with it being late for children and then having to hang around for ages for the next act. Food Horrible. Not much of a selection for either mains or desserts or fruit just pie apple or watermelon. The food was just bland and boring, continental breakfasts with pancakes over at the grill. Lunch and evening meals for just the same, cold meat selection and then stews or port steaks from the grill with a selection of different potatoes/chips. Good selection of branded ice lollies and ice creams. Other residents. This is a very Spanish tourist hotel so if you are hoping to meet people who at English I wouldn’t recommend. It also appears to be that English adults are given a yellow band which is suppose to be the all inclusive but it turns out there is also an all inclusive plus (blue band) which everybody else who’s wasn’t English was wearing. If you have booked the all inclusive and not the all inclusive +, be prepared to pay for the a la carte restaurants as these are not included in the standard inclusive. The beach was lovely but isn’t a sandy beach and is more of a gravely beach which you are required to pay €5 for a sunbed for. Not good for little ones who want to build a suncastle. Lots of sunbeds available bet as I didn’t really go at a peak time gods knows what it’s like in the summer!
