We stayed here from Friday night to Sunday morning for a quick weekend getaway, as it was my parents’ first time visiting Whistler. Check-in was at Legends Hotel, conveniently located right next door. We booked a one-bedroom unit that accommodates four people. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony offering a lovely view. It also included an in-unit washer and dryer, which was a great bonus. The property is pet-friendly and features a great outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. There’s also a fun game room and a small movie room, along with two large built-in outdoor BBQs. The location is about an 8-minute drive to Whistler Village, and there’s a nice grocery store right across the street. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

This is our third stay at the Evolution so it comes with much disappointment to say it was the worst. The rooms are well equipped, clean, and wonderful for families. Even the garage has been upgraded (since the last time we were here) with adequate EV charging. Generally speaking, Creekside is an ideal location to stay within Whistler and this property is one of the newer hotels in the area. Now on to the bad. It was an extremely noisy stay with the annual Otillo race a stone's throw from our room window. With all the race preparation and continued noise/music, there was no sleep after 6AM. The front desk, manned by F., was extremely inconsiderate. 1) complete omission or recognition that there was a loud race happening next door 2) unwillingness to extend our checkout time by an hour (ie. severe lack of sleep and rushed to be ousted) 3) unwillingness to escalate the issue upon request to the manager. I am not one to complain often as I am a husband to someone who worked in hospitality for over a decade. These simple requests should be easily met by any proper hotel. Perhaps the trio of properties prioritizes incidents that occur at Legends, their primary hotel. Would I stay again? Likely, in Creekside. Would it be at Evolution? Unlikely.

* UPDATE - dropped from 3 * to 1* Evolution replied to this review asking me to get in touch with their team. I already did and then tried again. Brianna Nettleship was the very unhelpful rep who falsely accused me of contacting Expedia "the day after I arrived", when I have the screenshot of my call to them and offered to send that along with the proof of my vet bill for my dog who was sick. I made a few attempts to rectify this situation and asked for a bit of grace, but was met with a cold personality who would not accommodate. Unbelievable. Prior 3* review (which is now 1*) because of this lack of service: I'm glad I brought my own sheet to lay on top of the couch for germ protection! Super grossed out 🤮 on day 2 when the sunlight hit the wall just right and I saw this!!! I don't even want to think what this is. Kinda made for an ick factor. Bed was comfy. Nice kitchenette. Pet friendly (but you can't bring pet to the poolside, even if they're in a kennel). In room laundry. No front desk. Had to check out a day early due to my pet becoming sick and needing to travel home to see our vet (I provided both Expedia and evolution with over 2 days notice as well as offered to send the vet receipt). They would not refund my last night, which was quite disappointing. One would expect a little bit of grace in this situation. Decking material got so hot my pet couldn't step on it. Parkade was frustrating because the door doesn't open automatically when you leave, so you have to get out of your car and go over to a cage to push a green button. Grounds were kept nice around hotel. Tim's right next door. Beautiful creekside walk beside hotel.
