Evora Hotel

Staff is incredibly professional and sage, food is amazingly fresh, bedrooms have generous balconies and great views

My boyfriend and I spent 10 days in Évora while he completed a skydiving course and I worked remotely from our hotel. Since I spent most of my time at the hotel, I had the chance to experience it quite thoroughly. After 10 days, I’d give the hotel a 3.5 out of 5. In my opinion, it’s not worth the €90 per night we paid. Here's why: Cleanliness: The rooms were not thoroughly cleaned during our stay. The pool area was also disappointing—beach chairs and side tables were often dirty, and the chairs themselves were extremely uncomfortable. Food: As food lovers, we were really looking forward to the hotel breakfast and overall dining experience. Unfortunately, this was one of the biggest letdowns. If I had to rate just the food, it would be a 2 out of 5. Gym: The gym wasn't well-maintained and didn’t feel particularly clean. Also, we were surprised that it wasn’t included in the stay—it cost €5 per use, which felt unreasonable, especially since the gym was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Laundry: We used the laundry service a couple of times, but found it overpriced for the quality provided. Atmosphere: The hotel is very family-oriented. During our stay, it felt like 95% of the guests were couples with children, so it’s not the best option if you’re looking for a quieter, more adult-focused environment. Overall, while the hotel has potential, there were enough issues that I wouldn’t recommend it at the current price point.

The room for 3 is extremely crowded, should not be allowed. They charge for everythig, like if you want to go to the gym. Charges $5 euros. They ask you to wear a swimming cap if you want to use the indoor pool, and the water is very cold.
