The location and staff of this hotel were great. The room was quite small and inside it smelled like smoke sometimes, but overall the hotel was good. There was also quite a lot noise in the hallways at times.

This is a very affordable hotel that is well located in a safe area with easy access to the Antwerp Central station and the city center. The receptionists are quite alright and very patient with customers so that’s a big plus. There is however a “leave your room key each time you go outside of the hotel” system which was odd and “different”. Same thing for entering the hotel, you have to be buzzed in by the receptionist and get your room key from them each time. This is a big negative on a social level because as human beings, we don’t always wanna have human contact and so as nice as the receptionist mostly were, I didn’t want to always have that “contact” going in and out of the hotel. So keep that in mind if you plan on staying at this hotel. Especially if you’re going to be out and about throughout your stay. The rooms weren’t too neat unfortunately. Stains on the pillows, on the bedsheet and some longhaired brunette person’s hair in the bathroom. My room also had some technical problems like a leak with the heater and the shower head that wouldn’t properly attach and was leaking when used. They have rooms with the toilets in your bathroom and rooms with shared toilets. I had booked one with a shared toilet and was expecting the worst but it was rather clean to my surprise. The bed was comfortable and there was no air conditioning but there was a big fan in my room so I slept quite comfortably in “warm” Belgian weather in this hotel

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at HOTEL BEAUX ART ANTWERPEN from 16 to 17 of march. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the first room was far below acceptable standards, as the second one. Upon arrival, I was confronted with dirty bed linens, bathroom with residue, unpleasant odor in the room, hair on the floor and on the pillows, dirty and stained towels, lack of enough towels and the last and the most important and serious bedbugs in the bed. Which is unacceptable. Additionally, I attempted to contact the front desk with your receptionist Rita to report these issues and request a resolution. After the first visit to reception, there was an attempt to understand and resolve the issue by verifying that our complaints were true and there was also recognition that at the moment the cleaning team is non-existent, which only confirms what we witnessed and reinforces our displeasure. After this first contact, a room change was proposed by reception. After the change, the same situation was again verified as in the first room and this completely intolerable situation led us to a second complaint and attempt to refund considering the unacceptable lack of conditions. Additionally, we will attach photos and videos that prove the same facts. Even when questioned about this whole situation and attempted resolution, the receptionist denied or disproved the existence of a complaints book and even showed herself to be less available and with a more rude, arrogant and inaccessible attitude towards our complaint and demand to speak to the person responsible or obtain some written proof that would protect the customer, in this case us. To reinforce the above there was no effective way to formally file a complaint or request a refund for a service that clearly did not meet the advertised standards. This lack of customer protection is unacceptable and severely damages the reputation of this establishment. Given these circumstances, we sent an email to the hotel explaining our complaint, but we have not received any response so far. Furthermore, we booked the hotel through the booking platform, and the hotel indicated that it canceled the reservation due to no-show, so that we were unable to complain.We are therefore subject to paying a fee for no-shows. it was a horrible experience.
