Exe Oriental Panama

Amazing stay, at the end of our business and leisure trip around Panama, last 2 nights we spent in the Eve Oriental. I wasn't sure about it - due to knowing the hotels in the area are very mouldy and outdated. I was afraid of being sick again due to mould, fungi and humidity. What a Great Surprise this hotel is. Clean, Dry, Good aircon that can be adjusted directly in the each of the rooms. Very spacious rooms, clean and spacious bathroom with shower and toilet. Superb comfy bed - actually much better sleep than in many 4star hotels in Panama. And waay more comfortable. We haven't been using the breakfast service as 40$ per person for breakfast buffet is way too much - and I mean it. Internet connection worried me at the start - with speed between 3,9mbs to 4,6mbs I was afraid that my night video conferences will be at the stakes - yet another great surprise - I had no problems whatsoever with conducting my work and video meetings, sending and receiving files and e-mails. Only if they had a swimming pool... So my score for this hotel for the 2 nights we were staying there is 4/5 - why not 5/5 - price of breakfast and no swimming pool. Everything else exceptional - expencier establishments in the area should visit and learn from EXE Oriental how to keep it clean and hygienically safe. I moved to a different room on the 12th floor after extending my stay, and the shower does not have hot water. I have reported this to reception multiple times. Maintenance staff have visited the room twice and insist the water is hot, yet the shower remains lukewarm and unusable. The sink water heats up, but the shower does not, making it impossible to bathe properly. The reception staff have been rude, unhelpful, and are now implying that I am lying about the problem. They also informed me that the hotel is fully booked and cannot move me to another room. This treatment is unacceptable. I am here for work, I do not speak Spanish, and this situation has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. I originally extended my stay because I liked this hotel, but this experience has completely changed my impression.

At the time of checkout we were asked to pay $10 fine for a small towel which got dirty. I mean it was not even that dirty but still we were forced to pay the amount which was very unpleasant experience.
