Fairfax Marriott at Fair Oaks

I stayed here several times on business trips. The Fairfax Marriott offers a comfortable and welcoming stay with excellent amenities. The staff is friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure a great experience. The hotel features a nice fitness center and an on-site restaurant with delicious food. Room service food is good, too! Conveniently located near shopping and dining options, it’s a fantastic choice when visiting the Fairfax area.

Much like the nearby Fair Oaks Mall, the hotel feels a bit outdated. However, it's well-equipped for hosting events, with numerous meeting rooms available. The guest room was adequate, and lounge access includes complimentary soft drinks and bottled water. The highlight, though, is the gym—above average and well-maintained.

As a local, we were kind of disappointed at this Marriot with our stay. We stayed a couple nights ago due to maintenance in our house, and we ended up staying at a different hotel the following day. It was just a place to put our head down but it wasn’t the greatest. My dad gave it 3/5. Pro: -Location and parking, super accessible and plenty of parking around the hotel- the mall/drive thru Starbucks is right by. 66 easily accessible -Check in and Check out was smooth Con: -cleanliness can be better, not sure if it’s the ventilation but the room felt muggy and smelt a bit musty, the sheets didn’t feel clean? I also saw A LOT of dust/dust mites and triggered my allergies, empty water bottle that was left by the prior guest. -not a lot in the room for our stay, very bare minimum, shampoo/body wash/soap and towels, but not even a tissue box, q tips etc, the rooms did not have slippers. -the switches in our lamp (between the beds) didn’t work. -only 1 elevator was working… it was a 10min wait for the elevator.
