A viable option for anyone wanting to visit Osaka! The 7/11 across the road is a really helpful one to lean on for all your amenities. The room itself was quite small for 2 (although we made this work). Golden week meant that we couldn’t make use of the hotels laundry services which set us back quite a bit in terms of rationing clothing. However, there is a laundry service that guests can use themselves is good for any essentials! Location is excellent!
This hotel is great. The staff are incredibly nice and can speak English well. It's a very busy hotel. It has affordable laundry which is a plus. And the gym was alright a little small but it's a small hotel so not a big deal. The only grip I had with it was the a/c in my room was pretty weak. Which made sleeping for me difficult. It was just hard to get comfortable as it wasnt the temp I usually sleep in. Not a huge deal but just something that was on my mind. It's near everything and anything you could ever want. It's a great place.
The hotel is located in the Namba area, 10 min walk from the station area - close enough to be convenient, but not too close so that it stays quiet and peaceful. There’s a 24-hour 7-Eleven across the street (which even serves oden in summer!) and a 24-hour FamilyMart down the street. which is a big plus if, like me, you often skip meals while sightseeing and end up eating late. It's Japan so don't expect huge rooms but the room is spacious by Japanese standards—new, clean, and with a very comfortable bed. I got the superior king room but it's not bigger or anything, probably only means higher floors. I can easily open my suitcase in the room without blocking the way, which isn’t always a given in Japan. The front desk staff are polite and friendly and they speak sufficient English for basic communication. They offered me late check out without me asking. One thing to note: Marriott Platinum don’t get free breakfast here. I forgot my other phone in the room after check out. I called and first they told me the room was already cleaned and nothing was found. I called again and they didn't give me any excuses and they went up straight to search again and found it. They kept it safe for me to pick up. I didn't ask the staff's name but I I’m truly grateful for his help. I’d happily stay here again the next time I’m in the Namba area!
