Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Salmon Arm

My family and I had a pleasant visit at this hotel on our road trip back to Vancouver. It was very well-maintained and the breakfast buffet was also a nice touch for us. The rooms were spacious and had a good layout. The only gripe is that there was a false eyelash cluster left in our bathroom sink so it just looked a bit odd but I think overall The cleanliness of the hotel was fine. It wasn’t really enough for us to make a stink about, but just something to be mindful of for house cleaning staff.

I’m not usually one to complain, but considering what I paid for the room, I felt it was important to leave a review. While the food was fresh and enjoyable, the overall atmosphere of the hotel was lacking. I expected more for the price I paid for a double room. The water pressure in the sink was extremely low, making it difficult to use. We also tried to use the hot tub, but the jets were broken and it wasn't clean. Additionally, when we requested a cot, we were told none were available.

The building is not built well enough for a hotel. Very disappointing… walls and floors are so thin.. you can’t relax in your room at all… from screaming kids in the next room to the stomping kids above the room, and the constant loud noise from the semi trucks on the highway adjacent to the hotel, we couldn’t wait to leave. The staff were very friendly, and tried to help as much as possible, but there wasn’t much they could do. This is why I gave 5 stars for Service.
