Fairmont Austin Gold Experience

I spent one night here while in Austin and booked this hotel based on recommendations on Booking.com. I can honestly say it exceeded expectations. The hotel is beautiful in terms of decor and it was very clean. Rooms are reasonably updated with modern touches and very good sized. It is also near the river belt that is being renovated and a great location overall. But more than anything the staff stood out the most to me. From the front door, to check in, to the restaurants and bars everyone is 100% consistently professional, friendly and warm. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Such a beautiful hotel! Loved the comfortable bedding, the pool was fabulous, and the Pistachio Chocolate Croissants are to die for! William at the Front Desk was informative and welcoming! I had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend. A big thank you to William at the Front Desk for making my husband and I feel welcome and special for our Anniversary weekend! He is wonderful!

I stayed at the Fairmont Austin for the weekend while in town for a wedding. The hotel is very nice and located in a great part of the city. There is both valet and self-parking available. Just a heads-up, the self-parking is listed at $55, but with added taxes and fees, it comes out closer to $65. Check-in went smoothly and the customer service throughout the stay was excellent. The room was modern, spacious, and comfortable. One downside was the lobby, which had an unpleasant smell the entire time we were there. I am not sure if it was from the fountain or something else, but it was definitely noticeable. The lobby bar was impressive and offered a great selection of drinks. The pool area was very busy but still a fun and relaxing spot. Room service was okay overall. I would avoid the brisket sliders though, as the meat was tough and had a strange flavor. Despite a few minor issues, it was a nice stay and I would stay here again.
