Fairmont Banff Springs

Our first time staying here and very beautiful stay. The hotel is so gorgeous and so historic. The location is walking distance (20 min) to downtown so very convenient. The rooms are somewhat small, I assume as a result of the historic nature of the hotel. Regardless, they are newly renovated and the available space is managed incredibly well, both in functionality and design. But the outstanding star for The Fairmont goes to service. This is our third fairmont this trip (Vancouver and Jasper first) and every single employee we’ve encountered has been incredibly good at their job and outstandingly positive and helpful. We travel a great deal all over the world and I have to say this is unique to any other brand I’ve stayed with. Kudos. One outstanding employee in particular was Jack st the gold reception. He helped us on numerous occasions with humor and a smile. The lounge here for gold is stellar. We enjoyed it very much. One suggestion we have is to provide an overview of the property and amenities at check in. Possibly because we checked in with Rocky mountaineer we didn’t receive that but we struggled to know where everything was and didn’t find out many amenities until our last hours (thanks to Jack).

Great place to stay. Rooms have all you need albeit small. All dining / drinking options have been very good. Staff has been exceptional. Shout out to Jack in Gold. Beautiful property, convenient to town. Great walking area. Definitely recommend. On that note, have been very happy with all Fairmont locations thus far.

We enjoyed the hotel location and views and amenities. Spa was great. The hotel is old so be prepared to navigate slow elevators - full elevators - and rat maze like layout. Would be awesome if the hotel had a GPS based app so you could find your way around and see where you are in relation to where you want to go. But we would grade this a 8.5 on scale of 10.
