Falkenberg Strandbad

We’ve been regular guests at Falkenberg Strandbad over the years. It’s our go-to destination in southern Sweden for a detoxifying and relaxing retreat. Highlights from our recent stay: The biggest shout-out goes to Sandy’s Grill. It was hands down the highlight of our two-day visit. The food was a significant step up compared to the more traditional Famille restaurant. However, service at both restaurants are very slow, and it can take quite a while to get a waiter’s attention. Other pros: • Great customer service overall. The staff genuinely listens and reflects on guest feedback. • Breakfast is consistently excellent every time we stay. Some areas for improvement: • Spa treatments are impossible to book on the same day, so be sure to schedule ahead. • Rooms are on the smaller side, and the facilities have started to show their age. Some renovation would definitely be welcome.

Come for the relaxation, stay for the existential loopholes. Checked in on Friday at exactly 14:03, according to the reception clock. My phone, however, said it was already Sunday. Nobody seemed concerned. Spa treatments were exceptional. Tried the "Full-Body Metaphysical Detox." Therapist carefully removed my anxiety and childhood memories, packaging them neatly into small glass jars labeled by year. (Ask for Johanna, she's very efficient.) Breakfast offered freshly squeezed guilt, organic remorse, and bottomless cups of vague regret—highly recommend mixing all three for maximum enlightenment. On the second evening, found a hidden door marked "Employees Only." Naturally, I entered. Inside, staff were carefully rehearsing polite smiles, sorting misplaced destinies into neatly labeled bins, and whispering quietly about a guest named Carl who still believes he's on vacation. My name is Carl. I decided not to bring it up. Overall a delightful experience. Especially appreciated the subtle way housekeeping folded my towels into origami swans that silently judged my life choices. Will definitely return once I figure out how to leave.

Our stay was truly an exceptional experience! From the warm hospitality to the excellent spa services, everything was top-notch. A special highlight was the thoughtful birthday surprise, walking into our room to find a heartfelt greeting and balloons made the celebration even more special. The staff were wonderful, and the dinner service was impeccable. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and the genuine care from everyone. We’ll definitely be staying here again.
