Very happy with my stay! The room was nice, the pub was great for dinner and breakfast. The staff in the hotel and the pub were all lovely and made me feel welcome. Would 100% recommend staying here if you need somewhere near Telford.

Overall, it was a good experience. Though I find having the hotel reception in the pub a strange decision. I'm assuming it is a cost cutting exercise but not one I liked. The gentleman who welcomed us was very efficient and friendly but rushed off his feet. The room was fine, bed comfortable and all clean. I particularly liked the coffee bags, which is so much better than instant coffee.

Check-in was easy through the restaurant, but there’s no actual reception. Because of that, we didn’t know breakfast was even an option until we were checking out—would’ve been happy to pay, just didn’t know it was available. We booked a family room for four but only had two towels, which was a bit frustrating. The room itself was a good size though, with USB sockets, a hairdryer, fast free Wi-Fi, and plenty of tea and coffee. The water was nice and warm for showers, which was great. There’s loads of parking, which is always handy. The mattress wasn’t great—you could feel all the springs—and it was really noisy early in the morning (around 5:45am to 6:45am) from deliveries to the KFC and Burger King next door. Not the best if you’re trying to sleep in. The TV didn’t work, and with no reception, there was no one to speak to about it. We ate in the restaurant but ended up waiting ages just for drinks. The staff weren’t sure about any of the deals or discounts, and while the food was okay, it really wasn’t worth the price. Honestly, I’d say grab something from the Burger King, Greggs, or Asda next door instead. Overall, it was alright, but there were a few things that could’ve made it a much better stay.
