Falls Iguazú Hotel & Spa

Not enough words in the English dictionary to describe how great this experience was for my wife and I. We travel frequently — as in 22 countries in the past three years. We seldom stay in 5-star hotels, well, because they’re pricey. But for our 5-year wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday, we decided to splurge a bit. It was the last leg of a long trip in Argentina and by far the best. From the moment we checked in, the staff was so courteous — opening doors, giving us a fresh mango juice (we were dressed for the cold of Buenos Aires and it was warm), so they could tell we were not prepared. Bruno helped us check in and was very kind. They grabbed our bags and brought them to our room. It’s the first hotel I’ve ever actually felt “clean” in the room. It was immaculate and very spacious. We had a beautiful view of the jungle. That evening we went to dinner, which is included, and were blown away by the assortment of food! Btw, it’s different every night. Again, the staff was so well-trained and kind. One, in particular, Omar, the manager, quickly become our good friend! From breakfast to dinner and everything in between, it was a special experience that can’t be topped. We’d grown close to the staff in our week there, who was genuinely sad to hear we were leaving. After my wife shedding a few tears and causing Omar to as well, we hit the road with the best memory attached. This was a 6/5 experience, solely because of how well we were treated and the accommodations. It was the best experience of any hotel we’ve ever stayed at, which I hope says something based on our extensive travels. We WILL be back. We feel like family now. Falls Iguazú was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The staff was very attentive and always alert, the spread for both breakfast and dinner was amazing. Special callout for the range of postres they had. They had good vegetarian options. The only thing they could do better was the packed lunch which we requested for the parks, it was only roasted veggie with bread - no protein.

Probably once upon a time a fabulous hotel. But now... not so much. A swimming pool where the kids dove for the tiles that we loose, with sharp edges as a result. Razor sharp rusty metal objects in the garden, where the staff said: you should not walk in the garden, only on the stones... Very uncosy breakfast and dining with very basic food. Staff and manager unwilling to help at a time whereby we were forced to check out one night early due to a national strike and our plane would not fly because of it. Very very unfortunate experience. DO NOT BOOK HERE. The falls however were magnificent!
