Fantastic winter holiday retreat in Karyntia, great for kids, with huge kindergarten area, all types of farm animals, and sufficient swimming pool. Its not a pool you could swim in, but good enough for kids. Great food and family atmosphere - very old family tree certainly adds to the atmosphere of this place. Having said that you have to take a drive to get to the nearest ski lifts (i think around 15 mins), but its not a deal breaker, and the huge fireplace you can sit and relax by in the evening compensates for the drive. I can imagine it could be even better place to visit in the summer.

All furniture in the rooms is old, but also there NO cups, teapot or teabags in the room. No fridge. No bar. How is it possible? So you are gonna buy smth for children or for yourself and what? I asked for the cups and I was served with plastic ones. The same we had for brushing the teeth in the bathroom. TV set is small and it’s not opposite your bed. We have a good balcony, but where’s the charger? Nevertheless, the rooms are big, good beds and the balcony is big Hotel stuff is not friendly. We waited for a chicken is restaurant for 40 mins. A chicken!!! So waiting for a main course in the dinner is always very long. Not all the waiters know English. So when you ask where’s your dish you know the answer. When I asked at reception about the cup it was “Cups? What cups?” So the behaviour of the stuff don’t motivate you to ask for anything. Not friendly, so to speak. Kids club opens at 12!!! It’s too late! Actually it’s just 2 rooms where your kids are left to themselves. We went here bc we thought that our kids will be taken care of with some games or other things but NO. It’s one of the reasons why we chose this hotel. But it’s a bait, has nothing to do with reality. What’s good? Good meal, no questions here. But again, the breakfast starts at 7-30!!! Our kids are awake at 6! And they are hungry. Don’t order beer, it’s I don’t know, not tasty to say the least. A Very big playground for the kids. Animals that your kids can play with. Tennis court. Horses. It’s very good to spend time with children. They can go to the sheep, goats, rabbits. There are stares to climb behind the fence. U can ride the pony. A big parking next to the hotel entrance but we couldn’t find ourselves. It’s not clear until you didn’t ask. There no indicators that it’s a hotel parking until we were told about this. Sauna and an open pool were closed at 9 AM. The water in another pool, for kids, was not very warm. For whom this hotel works if everything closed in the morning???

I am writing this review insanely tired and only caffeine keeping me awake. I was staying in the room directly above the bar and the first night i slept here was after new year's eve so i didn't complain about the noise coming from beneath because i thought the staff only had the chance to celebrate the new year just then. The party lasted until about 2 am. The third night some people were celebrating a birthday at the bar and it was way louder than the previous. At least when i went down to tell them it was unbearable and impossible to get a night's sleep they turned it down, but the staff either shouldn't put guests in the room i stayed in or allow anyone to party loudly at midnight. The other sad part of my stay was dinner. You have to wait quite a lot to get your main course (one family waited approximately one hour and didn't get theirs in the two hour window they have for dinner), which is a very small portion to me, and you can fill out your dinner at the self serving tables. Which sounds good, but is missing meat. They have some at the kid's section but you're not allowed to eat that. So as someone who likes to eat meat it's not very appealing. The best part probably was the sauna, which is very good and relaxing. They have bio, finnish, and some other that I didn't try. It has an indoor 'garden' with only the view to the garden but it's very modern nonetheless. In addition it has tea and another room with beds to rest. Don't forget, in case you get room No. 101 just ask for another because you'll leave more tired than you came. PS: I forgot to mention if you flushed the toilet in our room, it spilled out...
