Family Tides

We came into town during peak vacation season and had to make a last minute reservation, late at night. The front desk attendant was so friendly and got us checked in quickly. We had a beach facing room. It was clean, comfortable and pleasant. It had a fridge, microwave and everything you’d need. We are not ones to use a lot of amenities. We typically use hotels as pit stops to shower, rest and then on to the next place. So I can’t comment on the pool or any of the other options. My main condition is that a place is clean. This place was. We were very happy with our stay here. I would stay here again if I ever returned to the area.

This is a nice, quiet place and very clean. It's conveniently located near several great dining options in Lincoln City, and just a 5-minute walk to the ocean. The staff took excellent care of us—whether it was bringing extra towels or helping us rent movies, they were friendly and attentive. The only recommendation I have is to consider upgrading the TVs to allow screen mirroring from cell phones. It would be a great option, especially for keeping kids entertained.

We arrived at 7 pm on Friday. Realized a code was supposed to be emailed to get in our room. I did not get one. Office was closed. A man was there who could let us in our room but did not have code. Said he would go to his office and try and get it. Never heard back. At 9 pm called the number on the door. She couldn't help with code but said she would send info to someone else. Never heard back. We could not leave the room together or wouldn't be able to get back in. Saturday am I received an email asking how it was going. I answered with the inability to get in room. Was told to check spam. Which I already had. Given code and told it must be because I booked through 3rd party. There was nothing done to compensate for the situation. The fireplace did not work, and the hot tub was out as well. The 2nd morning we went to use the pool and it was out of order because someone went to the bathroom in it. The instructions in the booklet to show how to get to the beach were not clear. For the amount of money we paid. I was greatly unsatisfied and feel management should have done more to be available and to do something to make up for the situation. The pull out was not real comfortable. The positives were the closeness to the beach, the view, and items provided for use: games, dishes, etc. We would not stay again.
