Fantasy Island Resort Daytona Beach Shores

This is my uncles condo. The people that work here are awesome. He has had this condo for 30 years. They treat us like family.

Fantasy Island is exactly as described. It is comfy, wonderfully clean, and in a great location. It's a little dated, but if you are into the vintage Daytona vibe, this is the place. The staff is personable and helpful (thanks, Pat) and everything is well maintained. Absolutely perfect for a barefoot, laid back, no-frills, beach vacation.

Where to start, we show up to check in to our room and walk in to an unoccupied office that was not locked and nobody was on duty. After calling the number on rhe window to tell someonewe were there to check into our room that we had reserved they tell us we are not in the system, then say we might be next door on another propertywith the same name so we walk over , we were not in that system as well and went back , we were told again that we have no reervation under my name, finally after 40 minutes of back and forth on the phone they finally find us in the system and the only reason they did not find us was becauseof the incompetence of the office staff who didn't do there job, then had to wait for another 20 minutes to have someone drive tot rhe property to check us in, my wife and i exhausteded this point asked if there was a room on the first floor available because of me having a bad spine and right leg, and being in pain from a 2 1/2 hour motorcyle ride, we were told no and why what's the problem? Like really? Accommodating my ass, and yes there was rooms available the whole time on the first floor not taken during our 2 day stay, now for the supposed queen bed in the description turning out to be is the murphy bed...it was like sleeping on plywood with padding i am now in more pain then before we got there, air condition was mediocre at best and made for a hot and uncomfortable sleep, oh and lets start on the list of rules they give for guests, take out the trash to the dumpster, wash the dishes, put all of the linen and towels in the tub then a $30 cleaning bill that we do? Like are you serious? 100 percent will never stay at this place ever again, nore would I even recommend it to my worst enemy , and yes I am working on getting my money back. Complete waste of time and money
