Fantazia Resort Marsa Alam

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The food was absolutely delicious — every meal was fresh and tasty. The territory was very clean and well-maintained, which made the whole experience even more pleasant. The animation team organized a really fun and interesting program every day — it was never boring! The staff were incredibly polite and always ready to help with a smile. And most importantly, the nature around the hotel was breathtaking. Beautiful views, fresh air, and peaceful surroundings made this place truly special. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation!

Overall, a good hotel with a few serious drawbacks. The general experience was positive — we enjoyed the sun, the sea, and the tasty food. However, food hygiene is questionable at times, and you never quite know where the next bout of stomach trouble might come from. One issue that stood out was the plastic glasses used at the bar — they didn’t seem very clean. Room service was excellent: polite, responsive, and always ready to help. Most of the hotel staff were friendly and professional, which made our stay more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the Receptionist ( He seems to be in charge at the reception ) was a major downside. He had an exaggerated sense of self-importance and was consistently rude and unpleasant. Our interaction with him seriously affected our vacation. From the moment we refused to pay an extra 100 euros for a so-called “super promotion” — which meant moving to a shared deluxe apartment for four people instead of keeping our two separate standard rooms — his attitude toward us changed drastically. After that, he was openly hostile and unhelpful. Another issue: rooms on the ground floor had large cockroaches in the bathroom, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this level. Again, aside from the receptionist and hygiene concerns, the rest of the staff and the experience were lovely.

Disappointing stay at Fantazia Resort (June 2025) Our experience at Fantazia Resort was very disappointing. Breakfasts were repetitive and tasteless, with stale pastries. Only dinners were decent. The beach has just one small sandy entry, so everyone crowds there, and swimming is uncomfortable. The hotel caters almost exclusively to Italians. Entertainment is only in Italian, with no English spoken — even children can’t participate. Non-Italians are clearly not a priority. Reception staff was rude, with one manager even threatening us with the police. Only after contacting the general manager did we receive an apology. We do not recommend this hotel to families or non-Italian guests. Poor service, bad attitude, and zero inclusivity.
