We stayed 5 nights at the Farglory and the entire stay is an experience. They have not missed a detail. The food selection is vast and the buffet is worth the money. It’s very classy but still kid friendly. The views are incredible on both sides and the kids play area/pool is a great way to spend the day. The only draw back is being outside of town, although the shuttle takes you to and from the train station, getting taxi’s to and from is tricky.

We had lunch at the all-you-can-eat restaurant at Farglory Hotel Hualien. The buffet offered a wide selection of international dishes, including local Taiwanese cuisine. The food quality was satisfactory, with some dishes standing out more than others. The dining area was spacious, providing a comfortable atmosphere. However, the service was average; staff were polite but not particularly attentive. Given the price point, we expected a higher level of service and more consistent food quality. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there is room for improvement.

Rooms were clean and comfy. Service could use some improvement — we had to wave to get plates cleared during meals. The location is up on a mountain, which is peaceful, but there are no street lights and the road is quite winding, especially at night. The lobby was cozy and a nice spot to relax while waiting to check in. The pool was just okay. Breakfast was average — not quite what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. The views are fantastic, but you’ll need to step outside the main entrance in front of the hotel to really enjoy them.
