Faros Hotel Old City Special Class

Recommend first-time visitors to choose it. The location is excellent particularly for 1st-time visitors. T1 tram outside hotel goes to most of the best attractions. The breakfast is very good comparing with a 5-star hotel we stayed in Ankara . I must highly speak of Murat at the reception who is extremely professional and gave us a home-feeling by offering coffee/tea the moment we entered plus a brief introduction of local attractions. Our special thanks are given to him for a pre-booked taxi transfer from SAW airport to IST Airport as our plane was delayed. He supervised the transfer soon after we landed until we safely reached IST airport via email. We got on next plane in time. We had a dinner at the hotel restaurant and food are fabulous . We were told that hotel guests would receive a 20% discount for dinner, but they did not honour their promise. As their food are not expensive, we did not argue.

I want to share my experience so no other person makes this mistake. The hotel experience was great the tall guy at reception was exeptional and breakfast was stunning but I must write about this. This hotel is in wrong place this “turist” zone is nothing more but a scam zone on every corner people tried to scam us and it was even in licensed shops… Don’t buy anything with cash they will allways try to steal from you especially barbers with post (10€ haircut/foot massage) We wanted to get haircut for 10€ and in the end we were held hostage and paid 200€ and don’t worry nobody will help you in this situation you have no rights there and the city is just big instagram scam not romantic a lil bit it’s dirty and fillwd with bad people also don’t go on tram T1 scamers are waiting on every station. thank you never coming back.
