Fav Kumamoto

The rooms we chose had a washing machine and shower with built in drying function. Also had a microwave in room. These are great considering they would usually be shared with other guests. Would be nice to have an onsen.

It's a room to sleep in but that's about it. It's weirdly expensive for how little it has to offer. At first I felt very neutral about my stay until I realized how bad the wifi was. The 2 things absolutely required for a hotel is a clean room and good wifi. The room was clean, although stains on the sofa. I slept in the sofa bed since there were only two beds and the futon to put on top of it is slightly too big so it hangs off and moves slightly throughout the night. But the wifi. It is very slow and would disconnect at times. I could hardly load google maps to look up a place to eat. This was enough to make me not want to stay again. There were the basic amenities and pajama you can borrow at the 1st floor but it's only 1 size. And the area is close to the castle but not in a super busy area. There is pretty much no parking at the hotel. There are 4 spots in the front and that's it. Immediately they were taken and had a reserved cone. There is paid parking next to the hotel. Overall the room is fine to sleep in, clean and good size. But the wifi was too slow and disconnected.

It feels like a half service apartment more than hotel. The room looks nice with bunk bed and spacious but the aircon was covered with dust. While i stayed, there was always loud noise from the upstairs through midnight and later for two straight nights. The 4 parking spaces were said to be fully reserved but in fact it was left empty throughout the nights while staying. Quite disappointed.
