Fav Lux Hida Takayama

Spacious family room. Room is clean and comfortable. Hotel looks new too. The room is equipped with complete set of cooking utensils. We enjoyed cooking and having fresh fruit in the room. There is coin laundry room with washing machine and dryer too. Location: excellent location. Practically almost next to Nohi bus station and train station. My favourite hotel during our latest trip to Japan.

My favourite out of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip. Thanks to the reviews, I was warned that it could get noisy by the elevators, so I requested a quieter room. The rooms were so spacious and my kids loved the bunk beds. Would love to stay here again and check out the othe FAV hotels.

A comfortable and relaxing stay, modern, clean and stylish hotel. It was great to have such a spacious room, we loved the beds and view of snow topped mountains. We booked the sauna and that was a welcome luxurious treat in a busy sightseeing trip. I thought it was good value. One issue was that the hotel does not offer a Takkyubin luggage send on service (although they can receive your delivery). We had to go trekking round three nearby conbinis and then found our largest case was too big for the conbini Yamato pick up so we faced lugging it over the Kurobe Alpine Route, it was a very stressful end to the stay. I was surprised and disappointed at this, as most other hotels at this sort of price offer this convenience for guests. Extremely handy location close to the station and walkable to all central Takayama sights. We were here for the spring matsuri which was a great experience.
