FCC Angkor by Avani

We have just spent three luxurious nights at the FCC Angkor. It's an outstanding hotel. The building is lovely. It makes the most of the open air spaces and has a rather gorgeous colonial style restaurant. The trees and plants around the buildings and pool are beautiful and so well maintained. The staff are all highly professional and go out of their way to look after the guests in an exemplary manner. The food offering is good, with a particularly fine multi-cultural breakfast and... the cocktails are great. It's one of the nicest places we have stayed at the price. Can only highly recommend.

As a solo traveller, I booked FCC Angkor as a home base in luxury from which to explore Siem Reap. My room was unequivocally beautiful, despite the last minute booking, and my welcome to the hotel was nothing short of superb. Verena, who greeted me upon arrival, was incredibly warm and welcoming - without hesitation, she helped arrange a tour guide and transportation for Angkor Wat sunrise the next morning and offered me all the suggestions a person could ever desire for ways to spend my as-of-yet-unplanned days in town! She was so helpful from the first minute to the my final departure. The location is perfect - quiet, but central. You're right on the river, and it's only a short peaceful walk down the promenade to the Old Market and Pub Street. The absolute kindness and truly five star service of FCC’s team became apparently when I unfortunately broke my foot one evening. While no one wishes an injury like this during travel, I have come out of the experience grateful beyond belief that FCC Angkor was my home during these first stressful days - I could not have been luckier. From the moment I came to the hotel until the day I checked out, every single need was attended to with a level of compassion and hospitality I thought might be extinct. Ice, pillows, transport to the hospital and back, breakfast delivered to the room, assistance with crossing the road or finding a car/tuktuk whenever I needed one - all of it was made easy and immediately handled by the sweet staff. The pool, breakfast, and facilities are absolutely gorgeous and incredible. The bedding was so comfortable and the rooms so peaceful and quiet, I was able to rest at any moment. The Apsara Dance event on Friday evenings is not to be missed! The breakfast each day was truly divine, and every cocktail I tasted was more remarkable than the last. The live music I enjoyed on the patio bar was so beautiful, I am transported remembering it even now. I will be loyal to FCC Angkor on all future visits to Siem Reap, and if you are considering booking - rest assured, you soon will be, too. Enjoy your stay!

We loved this place. The staff were top notch. Neat (not sure on the spelling) at the front desk was truly a gem. Helped us with everything we needed. Very accommodating and helpful. Super friendly. Loved the pool and gardens. Rooms were beautiful and clean. A little strange room setup for two people. Hard to get up get out without disturbing your partner as the shower and toilet are not in a separate room. Sink is directly behind the head of the bed. Breakfast was excellent and cocktails were delicious.
