Feeling Hotel Bell Tower

Spent 3 nights at the Bell Tower Hotel. The location is unbeatable! Right next to the Bell Tower, steps from the vibrant Muslim Quarter and metro station. Spectacular night views! Our room was comfortable, spacious, and kept very clean by housekeeping. Staff were generally polite and helpful, and we used the airport transfer service which was ideal. **Points to note:** The historic charm means some areas (hallways, bathrooms, carpets) show wear and tear - functional but dated. **Expect city noise** due to the prime location next to a roundabout, light sleepers might need to request a quiet room/earplugs. **Overall:** A very good base for exploring Xi'an. Unbeatable convenience and unique atmosphere. Understand the trade-offs of an older building in this buzzing spot. We'd stay again for the location!

This was a wonderfully-located hotel in the heart of old town Xi'an. Walk right outside of the hotel doors and you can see the Bell Tower. The rooms were nice. The lobby had nice decor and courteous staff. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The room key was gorgeous. Why 3 stars? Because I like having AC and water. The AC did not work and actually HEATED up the room when I turned it on. I had to turn it off and open up the windows. How in this day and age can a hotel not have operating air conditioning? Also they advised that the water would be shutoff between midnight and 5am which is fine because I was asleep during that time. However, the water cut off at around 7am when I needed to use the shower and restroom, and there was no water! I don't really have the right words to express how horrifically unacceptable that is. But it was for an hour, so not the end of the world.

A superby located hotel that has seen better days. Right on top of the Bell Tower Metro station, walking distance to the opposite shopping malls, and a short walk about 15-20 mins to the Muslim St. Ground flr toilet smells even though the hotel house keeping ladyndid her best by spraying the toilets with deodorants. * Friendly Reminder: Do expect to get shocked lretry frequently by static electricity during this dry season even when you are trying to push a piece of rubblish into the the litter bin at the lifr lobby.
