Overall, a wonderful experience! Learned that this was one the first luxury hotel in Salvador! The staff was mostly hospitable, Bruno was awesome. Skip the breakfast. I would say that for two people, paying 400R$ was a little overkill for the small, yet delicious selection of food. The bed was so comfy and the AC unit was overall comfortable, but sometimes the room felt a little moist. The bathroom was nice with a spray bidet. The shower took a while to warm up, but once it did, the water pressure was great and the hot was awesome. The hallways would echo and you could hear people talking and entering their rooms, but once they were there, the soundproofing was totally fine and didn't bother anyone. Oh and the elevator was interesting! Just make sure you're peaking through the door to make sure your ride is there. You'll get what I mean when you see it. The view from the room was fine, but if you go to the rooftop with pool, the view is even better! Gym was adequate and got one workout in while there. Neighborhood was overall fine. It was kinda mix, but it was safe regardless. Would come back again!

An Incredible Stay at Fera Palace Hotel – Thank You to Daniela & the Amazing Team! My stay at Fera Palace Hotel in Salvador de Bahia was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and kindness by Daniela and the entire front desk and concierge team. Their hospitality made me feel right at home, and I can’t thank them enough for everything they did for me. I apologize for this late thank you—life has been hectic, but I want you all to know that I haven’t forgotten about you! I truly appreciate every detail that made my stay so special. Now, let’s talk about the breakfast—oh my God, to die for! Every morning was a dream, with incredible food that I would highly recommend to anyone staying here. And the infinity pool? Absolutely breathtaking! The view overlooking the ocean, the stunning sunset—it’s the perfect place to relax in the afternoon with a cocktail, soak in the view, and just enjoy the beauty of Salvador. The entire staff was beyond amazing—so kind, so welcoming, and always ready to help. The location is also fantastic, close to the Carnival Museum, the beach, and plenty of attractions. I felt completely safe throughout my stay, which made my experience even more enjoyable. I truly have no words to describe how incredible my time at Fera Palace Hotel was. I totally recommend it to anyone visiting Salvador de Bahia, and I already can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much, Fera Palace team—you guys are amazing! Muito obrigado!

While the hotel itself is stunning, I wouldn’t necessarily take the reviews that mention that the location of the hotel is “safe” at face value. This review is more of my way of keeping others protected. My husband and I stayed at this hotel in May of 2023 to celebrate our honeymoon and it was absolutely a stain on our otherwise splendid time. The hotel itself is quiet with security guards, but the area surrounding the property is littered with urine, crime, trash and some dangerous people. Several of the surrounding buildings are decrepit and abandoned. It’s a pretty dystopian setting lol. While walking down to the Pelourinho neighborhood, my husband and I were firstly threatened with a knife and then, about twenty minutes later I was mugged. I could give you the entire sob story, but what struck me the most was after we made our way back to the hotel with a broken finger — the manager of the hotel tried so desperately to convince me to not go to a hospital, and further tried to convince me that my finger was not broken and that I would be totally fine! Reader, my finger was twisted and pointing to the left. It was broken lol. It was… incredibly surreal and absolutely patronizing. I wish he had at least acted like something dire was unfolding. I fully understand that the hotel and their staff has nothing to do with what happens OUTSIDE of the property, but I really did feel like I was just being pushed aside carelessly by the manager in a moment of need. I am incredibly thankful to the desk clerk who did take me seriously and did her best to get me medical attention. I wish I remembered her name… My words of caution would to make sure you thoroughly research the area the hotel is in and stay at your own risk. Keep walking trips short and always be in a large group.
