Fergus Style Carema Beach

We had a great time here! Everything was above our expectations. My only gripe is they removed free water at dinner and sometimes the food wasn't particularly warm but the choice was excellent, fresh and good quality and all the staff were lovely. Fantastic location, the sea was so clear and clean with lots of fish swimming around us. We'll definitely be returning at some point. There was an excellent shop just across the road, very handy for lunch as we were half-board. The pool was beautiful and clean but most if it was quite deep (2m) so not for those who aren't confident swimmers. They had lots of floating aids though and toys/inflatables the kids could borrow and a lovely area for children and babies that was very shallow.

The hotel its self is lovely and overall we had a really good holiday in Menorca. The reception area is very good and always found them really helpful and was able to borrow an iron and get a baby cot straight away. We had a standard room, which was basic but very clean, the balcony’s are very small, if we were to come again we would upgrade to the deluxe apartments. The food at breakfast time was generally good and enough options hot and cold, it would have been nice to have some thing different each day though as it was the same every morning. We also thought the food in the day time from the snack bar was very poor, although we only tried this once as we didn’t have a great experience. There are plenty of local supermarkets/restaurants which did takeaway, so we opened to do this for lunch instead and eat by the pool. The location of this hotel is 10/10, it’s a 30 seconds walk to the marina and on the beach front. The pool area is good and spacious, with plenty of sunbeds and a stunning view of the beach. The hotel lifeguard who is here every day (Erick) is fantastic, he’s exceptionally friendly with all the guests and great with the kids around the pool area (he has the patience of a saint at times haha). Over all we would rate the hotel as a 3 star due to the amenities, but had a really great time here and it is a fantastic location and good family hotel. We would recommend staying here and return again.

Decent overall, but with some clear room for improvement. The breakfast is excellent, varied and well-prepared. We only tried the buffet dinner once and it was just moyen – not bad, but nothing memorable. The air conditioning is not very strong, which could be an issue in hotter months. Also, we expected at least some kind of agreement with the beach service, but nothing is provided. In our room, there were cooking plates but not even a single pan – a basic one would definitely be useful. Cala en Bosc is a nice spot, but keep in mind there’s a nearby holiday village that plays loud music, which can be disturbing in the evening. The hotel seems mostly oriented towards families with kids. A big plus: the staff is extremely kind and helpful. One suggestion: for hotel guests, it would be great to have at least one accessible spot to get water urgently, especially at night – the bar only has small bottles.
