Ferienhotel Alber

We had a lovely family stay at the family run Alber hotel this summer. The hotel is a bit older, but it all adds to its charm and carisma. The karten card which we had incluced in our package was a huge asset and allowed us free entrance to all major attractions in the karten area. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel and thank you for a lovely stay!

Very nice hotel, we looked for a price/value deal and hit a spot on. Breakfast is great, the 3 course dinner is amazing, confirm the staff is super nice and friendly. Most of them speak english too which is a big plus. Rooms are a bit dated but suit the place. The carpets are a bit dirty around the hotel (a change over of them would make the hotel look fresh on its own). Wellness is so-so, the steam sauna is not hot enough, infrared seem to not work, the finnish sauna is great. The chill room is mildly cold as it is supposed to be, blankets are available on the beds. Skibus stop is in front of the hotel. Perfect place for a skiing stay. Mallnitz Ankogel and Molltaler Gletscher are both amazing places to ski at where the ski bus goes. Parking in front of the hotel or on a big parking lot 100m from the hotel.

The hotel is located in a beautiful village, the rooms are already a little damaged, plaster and tiles, but they are cozy. the food was fantastic and so were the waiters. The hotel's biggest minus is wellness, the jacuzzi didn't work at all. The steam sauna and infrared sauna were half functioning and it was cold in the relaxation zone. Only the Finnish sauna was ok.. The Mr.owner was very kind and attentive, but the same cannot be said about Mrs. owner, she was not very friendly.
