Ferienhotel Platzlhof

We stayed two nights at this charming hotel, we were on a half-board basis. The hotel's location is excellent, in an elevated location. Breakfast and dinner were of a very high standard. The service at the hotel is excellent, we even celebrated my wife's birthday. The swimming pool is maintained to a very good standard. Good parking. An excellent hotel for a vacation.

A true alpine gem!! We stayed 7 nights at this beautiful hotel in Zillertal and everything was top notch. The room, the food, the facilities and the people were all phenomenal. Only slight let down is the village of Ried im Zillertal, which is a quite sleepy place. But there are many other places to visit in and around Zillertal, so it wasn’t a big problem. A huge plus is the heated outdoor pool, which is every bit as neat and pristine as the pictures and videos on Instagram. This is a family run hotel and it shows. As guests you are treated to a flurry of little thoughtful gestures, like the host Andrea coming to your table on your first evening to wish you a pleasant stay along with two glasses of Austrian schnapps and chocolate for the kids, and every morning there’s a little pamphlet on you table with suggestions for activities and hikes.

Hotel Platzlhof is the perfect mix of tradition and modern. My room was super spacious, spotlessly clean, and had beautiful panoramic views of the entire valley from the balcony. Actually, the whole hotel, the restaurant, the spa, the common areas, everywhere was spotless and immaculate. The staff were very warm and attentive. It only took one morning for the lady at breakfast to remember that I like to finish my meal with an espresso, and I also want to commend Simona for her exceptional service and warm personality. I also appreciated that the ski bus stops literally in front of the hotel, and that the staff made a note about the timetable in the guest information. After a day of skiing, another standout was the spa, which is modern and tastefully decorated. It has an outdoor heated pool with gorgeous views of the mountains around and a massage nozzle. There are also saunas and steam rooms. Overall, I was above happy with my stay. I loved everything about it and I would definitely return for a few more nights.
