We had an amazing stay at this hotel and what truly stood out was the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived Fernando went extra mile and managed to checked us in earlier than the regular time. Nice gustier at the room with a welcome letter and bottle of wine. Everyone at the front desk were efficient and friendly, Matrta was always spreading her positive energy in the hotel with a smile and helpful recommendations. Good quality and nice selection at the breakfast, coffee and deserts all over the day for the guests. Housekeeping kept everything spotless. It’s clear the staff here take real pride in their work and genuinely care about guest satisfaction. We will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for not just a comfortable stay, but truly outstanding hospitality.
This hotel is ideally located in the city center, making it a convenient base for exploring major attractions, with easy access to the metro and key areas like Alfama and Belém. Despite its central location, the rooms are sufficiently sized and comfortable, equipped with the expected amenities (including body wash, lotion, shampoo, etc.) to ensure a pleasant stay. Breakfast, while not hot, offers a decent selection that should satisfy most guests. However, the real highlight is the hotel's unique 'tea time' offering in the basement lounge from 2 PM until just after midnight. Guests can enjoy complimentary Nespresso coffee, water, cake, and biscuits—perfect for a midday refreshment, a late-night snack, or simply pairing with a dessert picked up during the day. Adding to the charm, the hotel pays homage to its historical roots. Built on the site of an old blacksmith shop, guests can catch a glimpse of the past through preserved remains encased in glass within the lounge area. This thoughtful touch makes the stay even more memorable, blending modern comfort with the area's rich history. Overall, a great choice for those looking for a well-located, comfortable stay with a touch of character and some delightful extras.
Small, quiet boutique hotel with cozy feel. Clean and newer renovation. Parallel to Augusta St. and close to water front. Our room backed on to Augusta (pedestrian street) and this was the view. Great area in historic district. Great staff and nice breakfast.
