Fiesta Americana Hermosillo

Customer service was good. The location is perfect! There are many places to go on short distances. The only bad which is the most important factor, being a hotel; is the rooms. The facilities as OLD and they smell, the cleanliness was not great, the sheets had a wet smell and the bathroom was not cleaned at all!

This hotel went down hill bad. It was my favorite hotel and one I used for my business meeting whenever I was in Hermosillo. The hotel only had one elevator that took forever. I got married in Hermosillo and I recommended this hotel to all my friends and family. They all stayed here and everyone was super upset. I called and mentioned I would be taking some pictures with family and they told me as long as we were all staying there, that it would be okay. I showed up and mentioned I would be taking my pictures and they charged me $3000 pesos. I paid it because I had no other option. I went to the front and asked to buy a water and over 4 people couldn't get me a water. I was surprised, it was my wedding day and I had to ask someone to go to the oxxo for a bottle of water! Something every hotel should easily have! I took my pictures and the grounds were not well maintained and not even close to what I remembered even a year ago. It slowly went down and down. Honestly this is my time I will stay here. It's not a cheap hole in the wall room, I paid and paid extra to have a bad stay. The room was not even cleaned properly. The bathroom mirrors were stained and the bedsheets had some black dust stuff. We made it work but again I felt it was a huge let down. To follow up, I called because my kids boots and hats were left behind and they didn't have them. I expected at least that! I've left important documents and shoes at Royal Palace and they shipped it to my house for free! That was amazing and I was soo happy with how they handled it and recommended them for a long time until I found this hotel. I feel bad recommending this hotel now. It's a 2-3 star at best honestly. 20 mins to bring my bags down. Constant construction noise. No water, wouldn't return my bags, charged to take pictures for 20 mins, dirty rooms and no responsilibity at all. I always write 2 good reviews when I write a bad one so please note that I'm not a negative person but this was completely unacceptable.

In overall my stay was less than OK, I was expecting much more for a Fiesta Americana. Noise coming from the windows and door were loud. I complain about the phone not working and they never came to fix it in my 3 nights that I spend here. My worst experience was using the laundry service, it was a rip off, I sent 9 T-shirts (between underwear and sport tops) and they were changed to shirts and charge almost double the price per piece. I complaint, but they were not able to do anything because the service was done by an external company, this was really unprofessional since they are offering that service directly to you. I believe this hotel needs more attention to the customer, hope this complaint help them to do things better.
