Stayed for the weekend, make sure you get the room you reserved, pictures are deceiving, I was celebrating my 30 year wedding anniversary and I had a couple of requests, I emailed them and didn't respond after 2 days, I responded back the same day and they didn't respond again, I was disappointed, other than that the place is nice and reception was smooth and very helpful.
Pool area is nice, staff service excellent. Rooms need small upgrades, no TV for the kids. Only the cabins have the usual amenities.
Before writing about my experience with this location, everyone should know this venue is in the middle of no where, in the mountains, and unless everyone going to your party drives a truck or an off roading vehicle they are going to STRUGGLE getting to the location.. the roads to get to this venue are BADDD. The rooms look like they haven’t been updated since the 80s/90s. They look as clean as and smell like a Goodwill store. The garden area is decorated with tacky fake insect statues and other random stuff. Which they will not remove for your party. I asked and they said no. The whole venue is covered with cheap flimsy squares of fake grass that overlap each other. The buildings paint is chipping from sun damage and need to be repainted. Everything seems so dirty like if the walls, flooring, etc need to be hosed down or dusted.. I understand how this venue is supposed to be “tuscan” and i understand “it’s Mexico.. what do you expect?” But come on.. huuuuge spiderwebs in the rooms and outside like they have been there for years. We went the morning before they were hosting a wedding later that day & she said they “clean before the event”.. Mind you, that wedding was happening 2hours after our visit. The location charges you in US Dollars and says they are “the best” & “great competitors to SD venues”, which the price for what they offer is nice but the staff lost all respect for the experience they gave me and my fiancé. Staff is sketchy/not trustworthy at all... Toured this venue for our wedding to be hosted here. Was told by staff that “pricing may change soon” & if i “put a deposit the pricing would be kept the same & not go higher”. We had a few more spots to visit & the price was nice despite the location being the way it is. We didn’t want to risk it and since we were told if we changed our minds we can always get our money back. So we put $1,000 and I double checked and asked the lady touring us that if we changed our minds we could get our deposit back & they said 100%. Two weeks after visiting we changed our minds & asked for our deposit back & the lady that toured us said she had nothing to do with that and to talk to her manager. We called the manager multiple times and took nearly a month and a half till we finally got on the phone with him.. We went back and forth on WhatApp with the manager for a few weeks till he told us that we were not going to get the deposit back at all. I encourage everyone doing business with this venue to please get everything down in writing because they will say otherwise and go against what they originally said to you. Trust me. We told the manager his staff said we could get our money back for sure when we toured. We went back and forth with him and he ended up only returning $500 to us. It’s said to see how this venue ruined our wedding planning experience with this memory. Keep the $500. Your business clearly needs it. At least put it towards a paint job or an exterminator to clean out the rooms. Overall the staff is not trustworthy whatsoever. I would hesitate doing business with this location if you’re looking for venues. Definitely go else where or at least learn from my mistake & get everything in writing if you do any type of deposits. From what it was, we got a tour of their venue for $500... I recommend going else where so you don’t get ripped off my this business. For the price you’re paying in US Dollars, you can for sure find a venue that’s way cleaner and better.
