An amazing hotel with very kind and helpful staff!! The location is amazing because you are 3 minutes away from a train/metro station and about 5 minutes away from two bus stops in the opposite direction. The area is also super safe and not loud, yet not far from the center. (We rode bikes to the center and around and it wasn't far nor expensive.) The room was huge considering the amount we paid for 4 days (~250€). The bed was heavenly and the view aka the huge windows that slide open were incredible. It was clean, spacious and organised. We loved it!! Thank you so much to the hotel for welcoming us and offering such good service! Highly recommend staying here, we certainly will next time we`re in Brussels!!!:)))) Best regards:)
As many reviews have already stated, the hotel is very old and you can tell (e.g. armchair in a poor state) and also you can easily hear your neighbors’ sounds. However my biggest problem was the cleanliness of the hotel. Our bathroom tub was old yes but it was most importantly dirty which was honestly disgusting. It was then cleaned after I asked but it should have never been this dirty in the first place. It shows how poorly maintained the hotel is. Then I also asked for plates at the reception and realized after pulling them apart that they were also dirty so I had to clean them myself. I thought no reviews talked about the cleanliness but I just scrolled down google reviews and turns out they do. I would not recommend to stay there even if it’s for the location because there are several other hotels nearby.
During may stay, there was a power outage in my room at 2 a.m. While I was offered a new room on a different floor not affected the power outage, I needed to gather my belongings in the dark and lost an hours of sleep. After contacting the hotel management about this situation afterwards, they were unwilling to provide even a partial refund as a compensation this situation
