Fischers Baslow Hall

What an amazing place and the food is full of various flavours, from the fresh bread to the courses. I won't take any stars off because service and the setting is immaculate but the smoked roe and saffron rice spoiled the cod for me, did not seem to go. However the garden herbs and oil used in the cuisine is truly unique and exceptional, well worth the price. I like how the tables are spaced out where it feels intimate but not too close to others. I don't have alcohol and pork and they were very adaptable and considerate. Only wish I had asked to take away some of the coriander from garden.

The team went above and beyond to make the occasion special, with the waitstaff offering warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful service that added a personal touch to the celebration. The food was absolutely incredible—each course beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, clearly crafted with skill and care. Every dish told its own story, and the attention to seasonal ingredients and balance made the meal feel both luxurious and grounded in nature. The setting itself, elegant and tranquil, complemented the whole experience perfectly. It’s clear why Fischer’s holds its Michelin Plate status—it’s a place where fine dining meets heartfelt hospitality. We’ll absolutely be returning and recommending it to anyone looking for a truly memorable culinary experience.

We ate in the restaurant, enjoying the 6 course menu. The restaurant is setup such that even when full each table still feels private. Service was unobtrusive but warm and professional. Food was excellent- fresh ingredients, good use of taste, colour and texture. A great meal, if slightly on the expensive side.
