Fitzwilton Hotel

I night stay booked at short notice. Great little hotel in Waterford down near the far end of the quay area. Means a little bit of a walk to the town centre but the advantage is that they have some parking at the hotel. It's an old fashioned kind of car park so the layout and access is a bit odd but functional. Staff were great and helpful. Room was a nice size and reasonably up to date. The bathroom in our room had recently been refurbished to a VERY high standard, well designed with good quality fixtures and layout and was brill. The bathroom comments might sound a bit odd but I've stayed in quite a few hotels over the last 10 days and this was a very refreshing change to most of them and worth mentioning. I'd recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

The rooms were very large, clean and comfortable. In general all the spaces were ample and welcoming. Furniture could maybe benefit from modernization. We found the breakfast to be really good. In particular the pastries seemed super fresh. Crunchier and tastier than many bakeries.

This is a very nice hotel. Very clean, reasonable rates, very impressive Gluten Free options. It's not exactly central, but Waterford's a wonderfully compact city and you're no more than 5-10 minutes walk along the quays. Car park is tiny and a challenge in anything more than a small hatchback.
