Very nice and quiet hotel. There is a big garden around the hotel. Many parking place and you can charge your EV car. There is no lift, so need to take your staff on the upper floor on your own. Breakfast is OK. Also, there is a swimming pool and small fitness area.

Booked for 4 nights, including breakfast and 3 dinners. It's a shame you couldn't pick which night to not have a dinner there, seeing it's easy to have dinner at the hotel the day of arrival. The breakfast buffet was decent. Not much luxury ((eggs from the supermarket and the cut-up fruit tasted like it wasn't freshly cut(?). You got the same options to choose from every day. It's clear this machine is running clockwork. A bit of variety would be nice though imho. The dinner, 2x a 3-course and 1x a surprise 4-course meal, were great. Truly excellent chefs working magic in the kitchen which make me bump the rating to 2 stars. It's just a shame you have to pay extra for some vegetables or potatoes / fries. some dishes have an extra surcharge too. What really wasn't a friendly stunt is charging € 6,50 for a 75cl bottle of water (bulk price of which is less than € 1,25). Nowhere are prices mentioned for the water. Also on the room service folder the prices are "starting at" so still you never know what they're charging you for a drink or snack. Be more open and frank in this. The restaurant staff were very courteous and correct. You could see some type of class was to be upheld in the oddly decorated restaurant area (various golden animals holding lights and lamp-shades) but it somehow worked with the rest of the (wall) ornaments. At the dinners the dishes always came out relatively quickly after each other. Again stating the well oiled machine off the kitchen and waiters/waitresses. One time a reminder needed to be sent but other than that top-notch. The sauna mentioned is quite small and requires pre-booking a 30min session (max 1hr a day). We used the sauna multiple times and it managed to get hot enough for a good sweat. The pool was a tad small and closed a while on Saturday mornings for swimming lessons apparently. Now the rooms are the main issue I had, making me rate so low. We had a garden view room (1 range higher than basic) having view through one of the windows (other looking out on the roof of the adjacent building. Stepping inside you're instantly directed to the bed, this due to the floor not being lever, nor flat. There was a beam holding up the floor it seemed (downhill to the closet and downhill to the bed). The room had carpet, curtains and 2 upholstered chairs. With all this fabric it would've been nice to hoover during cleaning (this didn't happen once, each day thinking it would happen the next). You also weren't allowed to keep your room private more than 1 day per stay. This wasn't very comfortable seeing the safe in our room wasn't working, which I told reception about on the first day but never managed to get fixed. Together with the AWFUL sewer smell coming up in the bathroom (which another couple had complaints about too) this just didn't feel like a 4* room, more a 3*. You'd expect a properly cleaned and nice smelling place to stay for the amount you pay. I'm glad we had nice weather and managed to go for walks and day trips, otherwise it would have been more unpleasant. So jus to a 2* rating from me. I wouldn't go back here for the rooms, but perhaps for a luxurious dinner. Hope they manage to fix / renovate a bit here and there. Shouldn't be a problem with all the money they're making on the water each night...
